Mission Statement:
One Child’s Voice is a home missions organization created to bring awareness of the need for adoption locally. One Child’s Voice is intended to be a voice for children, young or old, that cannot speak for themselves when they’re in need of a forever family.

Hello! We’re The Curry’s - Derl, Carlene, Jimmy, Chris, Sabrina, Derl III, Daniel, Kenneth, Billy, Alisse, Jonathon, and Aiden, and we want to be a voice for children. We’d like to tell you a little about ourselves. We’ve been married for 21 years and we had four of our own children, Jimmy, Chris, Sabrina, and Derl III. We are a middle class, working family that has a Great Faith and Love for our Lord as well as our entire family. When our youngest son Derl was 11 years old everything was going great, we were living the American Dream, needed nothing, and on our way to raising our 4 and settling in for “our time”. Then God began dealing with us and told us that we could be doing more, that we had another work - our Love for Children must be it! When we found out about 3 little brothers that were in foster care and that the parents rights were being terminated, we intervened and eventually adopted Danny, then 9, Kenny, 7, and Billy, 6. While going through the process, the boy’s dad had another child on the way, and once again parental rights were terminated and along came our daughter Alisse. A couple of years later and, you guessed it, 2 more little boys, Jonathon and Aiden. One of our greatest joys is telling people about our “10” children, 3 grandchildren Tori, Gabriel, and Natasha, and our wonderful daughters-in-law, Diana and Keren. It’s such a great opportunity to share what God’s done in our lives when people ask, “HOW do you do it”? We used to say, one day at a time. We’ve now revised it to “ONE HOUR at a time, and with the help of Our Lord”.
We’re so Blessed, we LOVE ALL of Our Children, the SAME!
Again over the past year, we’ve both felt like that there was something else God wanted from us. With the experience and years under our belts, it was time for us to share the great need of adoption to anyone who would listen and hopefully clear up a lot of Myths about adoption, and prayerfully and hopefully help unite Loving Families with Children in need of that Loving Home!
We realize that adoption or fosterling’s not for everyone, and that’s O.K., but if it’s for you and your family, please don’t be afraid to put yourself out there and let God do something great for you and a child. The State of North Carolina has the recourses to train, process’s in place, and children in need.
